I love cooking as much as I love cats. I want to share with you guys my favorite and simple recipe, which is hot chocolate. I know the title looks kinda long and complicated, but this recipe is so simple and fast. Enjoy!
Recipe:
- 1 carton (150 ml) of fresh (low fat) milk
- Milk chocolate, cut into little chunks (adjust the measurements with the milk)
- 1-2 tbsp peanut butter (I use the chunky one)
- 2 tbsp salted caramel (I'll include the ingredients down below)
- Whipped cream and marshmallow (optional)
Steps:
- Heat the milk, but don't let it boils.
- Mix the milk with the chocolate, peanut butter, and salted caramel. Use whisk to mix, but if you don't have one, use a regular spoon or a wooden spoon.
- Pour it to a glass. Decorate it with whipped cream and marshmallow. Serve.
So here is the recipe for the salted caramel (in case you don't know):
- 1 tsp of butter (optional)
- 2 tbsp of sugar
- 2 pinch of salt
Steps:
- In a non-sticking pan or heavy duty pan, melt the butter, then add the sugar. Let it melt. Stir once in a while, but don't over-stir it.
- Add salt. Mix it well. Turn off the stove, but keep stirring. Then, quickly pour the caramel into the milk mixture. Mix well.
So there you have it. My favorite hot chocolate recipe. Hope you like it as much as I do. If you're not a big fan of hot chocolate, make sure you try it and I'm sure you'll like it. Thank You and see you in my next post!
Nisa
Tip: adjust the measurements as you prefer
